Requests Anyone?

Sadly the above picture doesn’t come close to what I have or even what I would like to achieve in my lifetime, although I’d like to think my collection has some significance.  I’ve posted a few pictures of my bits and bobs before and have even compiled a video game database to keep track of what I have and what I’m missing.

Rather then throw out opinions on the new blockbusters hitting the shelves, I thought it would make a change to take a look back at the games I have in my collections and why they are there.

Feel free to comment a letter, game or genre and I’ll pick something from the collection to write about.

Here is a list of my current collection

Review: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

I’d never heard of XCOM and gave it a wide birth at Eurogamer, which in hindsight probably did it some favours as playing XCOM in an expo environment wouldn’t do it justice.  Never the less, persistent mention of it on Twitter peaked my interest and i’m so glad it did.

IMPRESSIONS: Dishonored

Right from the off I was skeptical about Dishonored.  To be fair, it’s not a game I would usually go for and it’s not a genre I particularly like, but, I’ve seen a few mixed reviews and thought, well, let’s try it and maybe I will like it.

I did not.

What’re Ya Boyin’

Failed attempt to phonetically recreate the ramblings of this man‘s iconic one liner as a subject for your latest entry is always a good way to start a post.  Reason being is that, shown above, is what I will be buying over the coming months and I’m going to tell you why.  Obviously if I find myself with some spare dolla I’ll pick up some other bits as well but failing that, this will definitely be hitting my shelves on day 1 of their release.

E3 2012: Microsoft

E3 2012 is over and all that’s left to do is reflect on what we’ve seen and heard and decide whether or not we care.  Most of the internet has been doing something similar for the last 3 days so I’m already a little behind but here it is.  The best and the worst of E3 2012 as decided by me.

What’s Up With That? Useless Firmware Updates

Updates.  So many updates.  I don’t know about you but when I get a game I want to be able to put it in and just start playing.  Whether it’s on the Xbox or the Playstation you can’t escape the inevitable mandatory update or install.  It’s painful.  What’s up with that?
